Veré  (I will see) 1.0.8

Veo Remote Veré -(I will see)

Veré enables you to view and control a remote computer over the Internet or LAN. It's optimized for use as a KVM (keyboard Video Mouse) and helpdesk solution across the LAN and works equally as well across the internet.

  • Forward a port on your router (*only required to accept connections from the internet range 1000-9999)
  • Enter a Port Number
  • Optionally choose poll. uncheck for Event driven mode
  • Optionally select connection method Wan or Lan
  • Optionally enter a Password to enable 256 AES Encryption
  • Optionally fill "Mail to" to send the connection details to your friend
  • Click Listen

To invite a client over the internet, enter a password and your clients email address in "mail to" and then click "Listen"

This will shell your email client with a link for your client to download a customized veras.exe, which includes the connection details.

While Veo Remote 1.0.8 Personal is currently free for personal use, we appreciate donations for it's continued development. If you would like to use Veo Remote for commercial purposes please contact us for further details on licensing options

features

File & Folder Transfer

Transfer is limited to a single file or folder at a time and only enables you to upload to the client. Just drag and drop a file onto the viewer to transfer.

The transfer will be uploaded to the clients desktop and appear as either "the folder sent" or a "container folder" in the case of a single file

notes

transfer is fairly slow and it takes time to compress

256 AES Encryption

Set a password to enable encryption

Options

Poll

The poll check box determines the screen update method, it is either Polled or Event driven. In Poll mode the client sends updates continuously as fast is can. In Event mode the client sends updates at the viewers request and will become Idle half a second after there are no pending input requests.

UDP

Enables auto IP discovery over the LAN useful for DHCP assigned IP numbers, if UDP is checked it will send a broadcast over your LAN

Password

Setting a password enables the 256 AES Encryption. You can either send the encrypted key generated by email or tell your friend the plain text password as you entered it into the password field.

Port

Choose a port number for the connection in the ranges from 5000-9999. You can run multiple instances of Vere on different ports enabling you to connect to multiple machines, simply choose a different port number for each connection. If you want to help a friend over the internet you will need to forwarded the port on your router, this may also require that you set up your computer with a static IP

Mail to

This will shell your default email client with a preformatted message containing the connection details and download links for verás and vio.

Please Note

If you use the "Mail to" feature, Veré sends the connection details to our webserver, to facilitate your client to connect with the minimum effort.
